  Everyone deserves a second chance and the American Families United Act is not asking for criminals who are national threats to be considered. We want the ground of inadmissibility such as for misrepresentation 212(a)(6)© to be waived so that family members can be together and they aren’t forced to choose the route of illegally entering the country. Everyone wants to come to the US legally, but the challenges with waiver and the 10-year bar are inhumane and people are forced to choose the other way. A family dreams of the American dream together, but if their family member is never in the picture frame because of stringent grounds of inadmissibility, it’s never a fulfilled American Dream. Just like how every US citizen wants their family together to share joy, sorrow, and grief, these immigrants also need that support from their families. And this act has been long over due since 2013, and now is the time that every American Family is United!
